Ashiatsu Deepfeet Bar Therapy is a massage technique that provides deep painless pressure provided through the therapist's barefeet instead of their hands. It allows for greater pressure and a more broad stroke. It is an excellent treatment for anyone wanting a smooth and deeply relaxing treatment. Overhead bars are used for stability while gravity and strategic foot work do the rest. Ashiatsu is the "deepest most luxurious massage on the planet!" Marissa is a Certified Ashiatsu Therapist and trained under the AOBT founder Ruthie Piper Hardee, in Denver Colorado in January 2017.
Ashiatsu has different contraindications than regular massage. Anyone with the following conditions is not suitable for an ashiatsu treatment: *Breast implants within the last 9 months *Varicose veins, skin lesions or boils *Any acute inflammatory conditions *Uncontrolled HIGH blood pressure, heart conditions, shunts, stints, or pacemakers *Within 6 weeks post surgery *Pregnancy *Any rib fracture or advanced osteoporosis *Tuberculosis, thrombosis, aneurysm, kidney disorders, recent bowel or hernia surgery *Persons on Coumadin, Lovenox, Heparin or a haven dosage of aspirin
So far I am absolutely loving Ashiatsu and my clients are loving too! The one comment I keep hearing over and over is that the Ashiatsu massage effects last twice as long as a regular massage, and that the pressure was deep but not painful. Ashiatsu is very deeply relaxing and it's almost hard to explain you just have to give it a try and see what you think!
